What if what you are eating is actually increasing inflammation in your body?
Let’s talk about known inflammatory vegetables called Nightshades. We all probably eat them, even though they are “healthy," they are actually toxic for many people and full of something called lectins.
What are lectins? Lectins are a large class of sugar-binding proteins that can be found in all forms of life. In plants, lectins are part of the natural defense against pests, and insects. Many members of the lectin protein family can clump together and become problematic for human health.
Lectins have been thought to contribute to the development of diseases such as celiac disease, autoimmune diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and type 2 diabetes by moving across the intestinal barrier (leaky gut) and activating the immune system.
The most common high-lectin foods include grains, legumes, and nightshade

Intermittent Fasting made simple.
𝐋𝐄𝐓'𝐒 𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐒, 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐖𝐄? If it were true that fasting is starving yourself or led you into the ever avoided boogeyman of ‘starvation mode’ where your body consumes its own muscle mass.
𝙉𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝙐𝙎 𝙒𝙊𝙐𝙇𝘿 𝘽𝙀 𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀. Think about it. In times when there wasn’t a grocery store on every corner, long winters meant little food was available. If our ancestor's bodies were consuming their own muscle mass, they would be severely weakened and unable to hunt for more food. 𝐈𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭, 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 (in the form of muscle mass) 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝?
The fact is it doesn’t. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮e. This is only a concern at around 4% body fat when the body doesn’t have enough stored fat to be used for fuel. Your body preserves your muscle tissue, because it is 𝙃𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙇𝙔 functional and will only burn it when there is 𝐍𝐎 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄!! This has been a myth perpetuated by those who don’t give the human body the credit it deserves. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, friends. Our bodies are amazing machines.
Why staying hydrated matters
Our body depends on water to survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work properly. For example, your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste, and lubricate your joints. Water is needed for overall good health.
A good rule of thumb is to try and drink half your weight in ounces a day of water. At first you might feel like you’re going to float away but your body adjusts and, before you know it, you could have more energy, better sleep, and even start losing weight.
While plain water is best for staying hydrated, other drinks and foods can help, too. Fruit and vegetable juices, milk, and herbal teas add to the amount of water you get each day, but there are some drinks on the market that you might want to steer clear of. Overly caffeinated, excess sugar, and artificially sweetened drinks are out there that claim they help to hydrate, but with so many artificial ingredients they are actually more harmful than helpful.
Lots of sports drinks are out there but they are not all the same! Some sports drinks are high in calories from added sugar, they also may contain high levels of sodium (salt). Read your labels, check the ingredients, and look for those sneaky little ingredients like sucralose, aka Splenda (one packet can destroy 75% of your good gut bacteria in you intestinal track according to Dr Gundry).

Gut health is where it all starts.
The gut or gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) is the long tube that begins at the mouth and ends at the anus. It is responsible for processing food from the time it is first consumed until it is absorbed and released by the body as stool. What is ‘Leaky Gut Syndrome’? Leaky Gut Syndrome, also known as intestinal permeability, is a condition that can disrupt your gut health and pave the path for a host of other medical conditions.
The leaky gut syndrome is a rapidly growing condition that people from the world over are experiencing of late. Although problems begin with your digestive system if you have the leaky gut syndrome, it affects other aspects of your health as well. Your gut is lined by a wall, which is like a net with small holes in them. These small holes act as filters and enable the passage of certain substances only. It acts as a shield to keep out the bigger, harmful substances from entering your body. When someone has a ‘leaky gut’, it means that the gut lining is damaged and cannot optimally function as a barrier any longer. The smaller holes become larger and allow harmful substances like gluten, bad bacteria, and undigested food particles to enter your system and cause considerable damage to health.

Movement matters
Physical activity doesn't need to be complicated. Something as simple as a daily brisk walk can help you live a healthier life.
For example, regular brisk walking can help you:
Maintain a healthy weight and lose body fat
Prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes
Improve cardiovascular fitness
Strengthen your bones and muscles
Improve muscle endurance
Increase energy levels
Improve your mood, cognition, memory and sleep
Improve your balance and coordination
Strengthen immune system
Reduce stress and tension
The faster, farther and more frequently you walk, the greater the benefits. For example, you may start out as an average walker, and then work your way up to walking faster and walking a mile in a shorter amount of time than an average walker, similar to power walkers. This can be a great way to get aerobic activity, improve your heart health and increase your endurance while burning calories.
You can also alternate periods of brisk walking with leisurely walking. This type of interval training has many benefits, such as improving cardiovascular fitness and burning more calories than regular walking.
